HBI french doors – a new outlook for a better design, atmosphere and energy costs
HBI’s french doors don’t just make your glass surfaces more beautiful; they make them smarter, too. HBI has french doors that turn expansive glass surfaces into passive solar collectors, energy conservers, space savers or boundary breakers.
More daylight, less energy consumption
If you have large south-facing window surfaces, you can use HBI french doors to capture and direct daylight into your home. Transform your french doors into passive solar collectors for more solar energy use and less power consumption.
Also, south-facing windows often need solar shades or blinds to keep your house cool during hot summer months.
Perfect solution for any architecture
HBI provides a wide array of design elements for large glass surfaces to match any situation and architectural style.
HBI balcony and patio doors
Discover HBI’s wide product range – from multi-component systems with fixed central mullions or floating mullions to matching sidelights, outward swinging doors and transoms all the way to special shapes.
HBI folding doors
Ideal for extra-large window fronts. When these doors open, up to 7 leaves fold together neatly into a narrow, compact package on the hinge side of the doorway. All HBI folding door systems come with an integrated, easy-to-use tilt and turn door that can be operated separately.
HBI parallel tilt and slide doors
This HBI space saver is the ideal choice for areas too small for conventional french doors. It has a very narrow profile. The fixed and moving components can be positioned symmetrically or asymmetrically. The door leaf tilts separately and comes with a special casement-type stay so you’ll never lock yourself out again.
Lift and slide door systems from HBI
Walk out into your yard or onto the balcony without taking any stairs. HBI’s thermally broken thresholds seamlessly connect the exterior to the interior of your home. With their stable construction and specially developed operating mechanism, these smooth-gliding HBI glazed doors can be installed in openings up to 6 meters wide. In the ventilation position, you can lower and lock a door panel at any location. For more elegance and a spacious feel.
Optional features for HBI french doors:
Zero threshold for zero tripping
HBI’s balcony and patio doors, folding doors and lift and slide doors can be equipped with optional accessible thresholds.
Comfort drive for heavy panels of lift and slide doors
Spend less energy opening heavy french doors with the HBI comfort drive. Whenever a door is closed, the door’s weight loads an energy reservoir in the integrated comfort drive. The stored energy is released when the door is opened.
Slam-free with soft close function
If you wish, your HBI slide door can be automatically stopped before slamming shut and then closed gently in a controlled manner.
